Sundry Markets is inviting applications for Accounting Trainees (Cash Officers) under its 2026 Accounting Trainee Programme in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial, cash, and transaction records
- Record daily sales and expenditure transactions with proper documentation
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Verify invoices, process supplier payments, and reconcile accounts
- Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
- Participate in internal control checks and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with store operations and management teams
- Provide basic financial insights to support decision-making
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must not be more than 30 years of age
- Completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption letter
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and build a career in retail finance
