Sundry Markets is recruiting Accounting Trainees (Cash Officers) for its 2026 Accounting Trainee Programme in Lagos State, Nigeria. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and cash records
  • Record daily transactions and ensure proper documentation
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Verify invoices, process payments, and reconcile accounts
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
  • Participate in internal and external audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Work with store and operations teams to gather financial data
  • Provide basic financial insights to support management decisions

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Must not be more than 30 years of age
  • Completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption letter
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the retail and supermarket industry
