Job Overview

Sundry Markets is recruiting Accounting Trainees (Cash Officers) for its 2026 Accounting Trainee Programme. This full-time graduate opportunity is open across multiple locations in Nigeria, including Lagos, Ibadan (Oyo), Port Harcourt (Rivers), Mowe (Ogun), Benin (Edo), Warri (Delta), Onitsha (Anambra), and Akure (Ondo).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Record daily financial transactions with proper documentation
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Verify supplier invoices and process payments
  • Reconcile accounts and cash records regularly
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
  • Participate in internal and external audit processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data
  • Provide basic financial insights to support business decisions

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Must not be more than 30 years of age
  • Completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption letter
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a retail finance environment
